The Summer Intern

ライターをめざしているアナ。夏の間だけ、ファッション関連ウェブサイト「グロス」で働けることになって大喜びだったが、実際はうまくいかないことばかり。親友のケイティは怒らせてしまうし、ママは毎日仕事場に電話してくる。編集者のティナはアナにコーヒーや郵便物を持って来させるばかりで、記事は書かせてくれない。「わたし、いつになったらグロスの記事を書かせてもらえるのかな？ケイティとどうしたら仲直りできるかな？ママに、5歳じゃなくて15歳だってわかってもらうにはどうしたらいいのかしら」。アナの悩みは尽きない。

Anna wants to be a writer, so when she gets a summer job at a fashion and beauty website called Gloss, she's very excited. But things are not easy. Anna's best friend Katie is upset with her, her mother phones her every day at work, and Tina, the editor of Gloss, wants her to make the coffee and pick up the post, not write features. 'Am I ever going to write something for Gloss?' Anna thinks. 'And how am I going to get my best friend back, and explain to my mum that I'm fifteen, not five?
